Understanding "Natural Wines"

High Quality, Low Intervention Winemaking

Sat. August 31st @ 11:00am

"Natural Wine" can be a polarizing subject. Part of the challenge of this category is the wide range of interpretations of what "natural winemaking" is and is not, and the range of quality levels these wines are produced in -- many of them somewhat challenging to appreciate. In this 90-minute tasting seminar we'll be joined by Lisa Tupetz, Wine Maker and German Wine Importer of Tupetz Wine Imports will showcase a flight of German "Natural Wines" and discuss what low intervention/natural winemaking actually means (hint: it isn't the hands-off approach it's often described as) to dispel the myths and misconceptions about this growing wine segment.
