Around the World in 80 Wines #9

Northern Exposure: The Wines & Regions of the Pacific Northwest

Tuesday, February 24 @ 6pm

Join us for part 9 of our 10 part wine seminar series where we uncork the stories behind 80 iconic wines from the world’s most celebrated regions.

Our second to last stop takes us to the Pacific Northwest where the Cascade Mountains create a paradox where Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz thrive in warm sunny vineyards close to 50 degrees north latitude and Pinot noir and Chardonnay are perhaps at their best in the world much further south around 45 degrees north latitude in the cool (but still pretty sunny) vineyards of Oregon. We'll explain the history of these neighboring wine growing states and why the Cascades play such a vial and paradoxical role in how each region is ideal for the grapes they grow.

Join in anytime! Each seminar stands alone so if you've missed one or more of the series segments, you won't be lost. We'll be offering this series on a rotating basis so you'll be able to catch up on the other stops in the near future.

Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or a curious enthusiast, you'll deepen your knowledge, refine your palate, and gain a deeper appreciation of the artistry in every bottle. Explore the globe, one wine at a time — no passport required.

Around the World in 80 Wines #10

Who was Junipero Serra and how California Wines became Famous

Tuesday, March 24 @ 6pm

Join us for part 10 of our 10 part wine seminar series where we uncork the stories behind 80 iconic wines from the world’s most celebrated regions.

Saving the best for last -- we're having a Napa/Sonoma vs Paso Robles showdown where we'll be tasting top tier examples of key varietal wines from each region side by side and explain the terroir factors that shape the distinctly different personalities of these wines and decide which region reigns supreme (but we already know the answer is under our feet, right? )
